CUDA GALA Dinner – Saturday 27th

Your Credit Unions & Exhibitors have already provided GALA Dinner numbers to CUDA for Saturday 27th and thank you for that.  If however there are any changes to your Gala Dinner numbers, please let us know to roisin.smith@cuda.ie ASAP otherwise you may be charged for dinners not cancelled.  Final Gala dinner numbers will be given to the Hodson Bay Hotel Team today (25th January)

Partners Event – Cookery Demo & Wine Tasting

As we are joining with the Sheraton Hotel in Athlone for accommodation, CUDA  will be running a shuttle bus servicebetween both hotels for delegates  to attend all  conference events  in Hodson Bay on Saturday 27th.  If any partners wish to avail of this shuttle bus service to travel into Athlone on the morning of the conference, they are very welcome to do so and may return to Hodson Bay and join for lunch with delegates  at 1pm.  On Saturday  afternoon, CUDA have arranged  a cookery demonstration and wine tasting  at 3pm for 25 people at Hodson Bay Hotel. CUDA require names of partners who may wish to attend this event to roisin.smith@cuda.ie

The Hodson Bay Hotel has a super Leisure Centre which is opened 7am-9.45pm on Friday and 8.15am-8.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.  If any of the ladies would like to do aquarobics,  there is  a class for CUDA guests at 11am on Saturday.  Anyone wishing to join the aquarobics  will need to register for this on check in at hotel or book on line as follows: https://www.hodsonbayhotel.com/plan-your-stay/

Hodson Bay also have excellent Spa facilities.  If you wish to avail of a treatment, you will need to book ASAP. There are  still some slots available.   The Spa is opened 10-7pm. Visit Spa as follows:

Yew Point is opened 9-4pm, 5km loop walk- guests can register for this in Leisure centre, they will also be given key card for the gate

Aqua Aerobics at 11am 25 people- register at leisure centre desk

Spin Class at 11.45 am 10 people- register at leisure centre desk

Transport - Shuttle bus

CUDA will run a Shuttle Bus Service to & from the Sheraton Hotel to Hodson Bay Hotel on Saturday 27th for both the CUDA Conference & Gala Dinner Events.

Pick-up times will be as follows:

  • Pick up from Sheraton at 8 am- exhibitors & others
  • Pick up from Sheraton at 9 am- conference delegates, This bus will also take some partners into  Athlone  about 9.30
  • If partners avail of the bus service, a return bus will pick partners up at Sheraton at 12.30 and return to Hodson for lunch at 1pm
  • Pick up from Hodson to Sheraton  at 5 pm
  • Sheraton to Hodson at 6.30 for Gala Dinner
  • Hodson to Sheraton at 11 pm after dinner
  • Hodson to Sheraton at midnight

Things to do in Athlone

Killarney National Park

Killarney National Park, with its rugged landscape, Lakes of Killarney, and the McGillycuddy Reeks Mountain Range, is Ireland’s oldest national park. Torc Waterfall

The Torc Waterfall is at the base of Torc Mountain. It was only a short walk from the parking area to where you start your hike up the hill. The scenery leading up to the waterfall is beautiful and the atmosphere was incredibly relaxing.
