15th Annual CUDA Golf Classic for Michael Joyce Memorial Cup

CUDA held the 15th Annual Golf Classic in Aid of Galway Hospice, on Saturday 24rd August at Limerick Golf Club, and dinner afterwards at Radisson Hotel, Ennis Road Limerick. 17 Teams took part in this year’s event.

This was a very successful, most enjoyable and important networking event for CUDA Owner Credit Unions, CUDA Affinity Credit Unions and Sponsors. Thankfully, we were blessed with beautiful weather conditions. CUDA and our Golf Committee would like to sincerely offer our kind appreciation to all Credit Unions and Sponsors for their support and participation in the classic which generates a very welcomed contribution to the Galway Hospice.

CUDA would like to extend our heartiest congratulations to all winning teams and we wish to thank all participants who attended on the day and make this an enjoyable day for all.  Your support at this networking and fundraising event in aid of Galway Hospice is much appreciated. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to all those who sponsored prizes namely:

So far this year’s Golf Classic has raised €1,340.  This amount included a donation from SP3 Services, who specialise in IT Governance & Management consulting, who could not participate on the day and kindly donated their €500 fee.  A number of Credit Unions have provisionally made a commitment to support this cause, and indeed if there are others wishing to do so, please let us know this week so that funds can be forwarded to the Galway Hospice ASAP.

On behalf of CUDA, I would like to extend a special word of thanks to Michael O’Mahony, Chair, CUDA National Council for presenting the prizes to the winners.  We also wish to thank CUDA Golf Committee, PJ McAndrew, John Matthews and Tony Flanagan, who dedicated their time and effort in making this year’s event a great success.  Thanks also to Frances Molloy (Dundalk CU), Martina Sheridan (Blanchardstown CU) & Mary Caulfield (St. Anthony’s) for assisting on the day and with raffle ticket sales.
